Monthly Updates April 22, 2015

fNIRS 2016
The 2016 conference will take place in central Paris October 13 – 16, 2016.
As with past conferences, there will be a day-long course prior to the start of the conference on Thursday October 13. The conference is being co-chaired by Judit Gervain and Joseph Culver.

The fNIRS Society and the International Society for Optics and Photonics have agreed to a partnership with “the desire to cooperate in the advancement of their societies and their support to their mutual communities by jointly supporting the journal Neurophotonics”.

Communications Committee
We have established a Communications Committee to serve the Society for fNIRS. The role of the communications committee is to facilitate and enhance communications between the society and the membership through the monthly newsletter, Facebook and Twitter.

Neurophotonics – Call for Papers
Please see the call for papers for the upcoming special section on “Clinical Near-Infrared Spectroscopy and Imaging of the Brain”. The submission deadline is Dec 1, 2015. More info at the journal webpage

SfNIRS Logo design competition
We have extended the deadline to May 31st, 2015. Voting will take place in summer 2015 and the winning logo will be announced in September 2015.

Brain Meeting
The XXVIIth International Symposium on Cerebral Blood Flow, Metabolism and Function will be held in Vancouver, Canada from June 27–30, 2015. The program includes several NIRS abstracts.
