Mission statement
The Society for functional NIRS is committed to principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to raising awareness, guiding learning, and supporting those members who might be marginalized or stereotyped. As an international organization it is understood that issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion are not the same for all countries and we seek to represent and address this international range of issues. The committee is grounded by basic values that include 1) the highest standards in science, engineering, and clinical practice; and 2) the commitment to welcome all members of the NIRS community regardless of ethnic or cultural background or personal identity into our rapidly-expanding field.
If you’re interested in joining the Committee email us at DEI@fnirs.org.
